For wheel repair in Bracknell, come to Alloy Care Centre.
If your wheels have become buckled or bent, that doesn’t necessarily mean they will need to be replaced. Here at Alloy Care Centre we specialise in repairing alloy wheels.
Pot holes and deteriorating road surfaces can be bad news for your wheels; they can soon become buckled and damaged. Buckled wheels can soon cause a loss of tyre pressure, and also vibration and shaking through the steering wheel. You could also end up with an MOT failure.
Damaged wheels can increase the wear on your tyres too, and that vibration can end up damaging the steering components and suspension in your vehicle.
We have a high tech specialist straightening machine which uses a hydraulic press to ease out damage in your wheels. This involves heating the damaged area of your wheel to avoid the possibility of it cracking. We then gently push out the damage using the hydraulic ram.
Please note: as wheels are heated as part of the repair process, this may cause discolouration to the painted surface. Whilst any discolouration on the inside of the wheel will not be visible, we do recommend a full wheel refurbishment if the damage is on the outside of the wheel.
It is also important to note that the process of repairing a wheel requires a great deal of pressure. Whilst we take the utmost care while repairing wheels, we cannot guarantee that wheels will not crack as a result.
